whoo great, TV screen is black – but no photo powers on – what to check? I have a Samsung TV and the TV screen is black. The powers on, but I am unable to see a picture. The TV picture flashes for a second or two and then the screens turns completely black. It is just black screen and nothing else. I can light the electric light so I know the Television is on and on. I don’t hear the sound even though the TV screen is black. My TV is 65 TV 4K Smart LED HDTV and the black screen is just visible. I am unable to watch TV because the black screen is static. Does this mean the screen or main panel is bad? If an LED or LED goes bad, does the picture flash and then the black screen appears continuously? What are some things I can check before I call for repair or warranty service? https://www.acerrorcode.hindustaniexpress.com/tv-screen-is-black

So many things come to mind. First off, I commend he young woman for being innovative, but I wouldn't fool around with eye makeup due to bacteria and possible eye irritation. I've left it on by accident and whoa... big mistake. Secondly, if your hair is that dirty that it really needs to be washed, why wasn't it done before doing your eye makeup? Just how long are you leaving that makeup on? Third, there are some good "dry" shampoos for times you are in a pinch. Other posters make good points about carefully using the sink. I've done it- very possible, just not optimal.

I don't why Hans got all the downvotes, it's actually a valid concern. Sour sauces (as in lemon or vinegar based) are acidic and could attack the plastic causing your food to become contaminated with toxins, as could heating it up. Minute amounts, granted, but in the long run it actually could pose a health risk. Not all "life hacks" are actually good ideas...

Cribs usually have two base height positions, the higher one in as in this pic is for small babies who cannot sit or pull themselves up, as soon as they can the base is put into the lower position.

This really works. About 40 years ago I bought a 100ml tube of walnut oil (with a sponge applicator on top) from an antique furniture restorer. Rub it on a new scratch and it looks like the scratch was part of the history of the piece. Don’t rub the nut inside on the scratch as it may put bits into the grain. Rather put the nut inside between some paper towel, squeeze with pliers and rub the furniture with the amazing amount of oil that ends up on the paper towel. My own hack.

I've also used other nuts. If you have a large surface area, it'd be easier to use cooking oil mixed with lemon to cover it. The lemon might prevent the oil from going rancid. I'm not sure. Perhaps rancidity doesn't matter on furniture.

I agree, too. We use them for a lot of small items. We also use them for sting kits in our first aid kits. Put a bid of tobacco for rolling cigarettes in the TicTac box and use washi tape or masking tape to attach a piece of an old credit or gift card to the outside. Use the card to press out the stinger, then add a little water or spit to the tobacco and smear on the sting site. The tobacco reduces inflammation and pain at the site.

I would use S-hooks on the back rungs for belts, bags, scarves. I'd line the chairs up flush with each other and do something to make them look like something non-chAir. But, if it were a kid's room, I'd emphasize the chairs and paint cats and other characters upon the chairs looking down at the kiddos.

The only mention of hacks is in the description where it says, "To get your creative juices flowing, Bored Panda has put together a list of easy and incredibly useful life hacks, DIY tricks and repurposing ideas" which would include this entry.

The bottles of cleaner are too heavy for long term storage, both for the plastic organizer and for the door to keep hung properly. Also, having hung a cute retro shoe bag to hold accessories, when I moved, I discovered dead moths and spiders, dust caked deep in the creases that was too hard to extricate. Much easier to clean a shelf, unless you can cover the pouches of the bag some how.

I tried this. Trying to get a bag full of liquid on a high shower head is awkward. There's no room in my bathroom to get a stool in there, so most of it ended up spilling on me and I smelled like pickles. What was still in the bag once I got it up there pooled to the lower corner of the bag instead of soaking the shower head. It was just easier to scrub the shower head with an old toothbrush instead.

i do this with shower heads, and faucets. you can just unscrew them and put them in a container together over night. put a hair band around a sponge to hold it on the base of the faucet, pour vinegar on and let it soak to get rid of the hard water there too.

Vinegar is great. It also works well as drain cleaner when mixed with baking soda. On the other hand, I caused pitting on chrome fixtures by getting bleach on them. The main ingredient in common bowl cleaner (blanking, an acid) puts off fumes that also pits chrome.

Quite smart. Take it one step further and disguise your valuables as a used diaper. Just roll it up in there (obviously use a clean diaper!) no one wants to steal a used diaper. Pretty nifty on the beach for instance.

I use a gallon jug as a water bottle (I drink a LOT of water daily... obsessively so) and I do this at night while getting ready for bed by putting my cell phone under the jug on a white screen. It doesn't work as well as a super bright flashlight, but it does diffuse the light more readily than straight from the screen itself. Yes, I have a ceiling light but I rarely ever use it lol

Sometimes a bike just can't be fixed or if the frame is cracked or broken but could still be used decorative like in a garden or what not. It's about reusing things for an alternate purpose not wasting good items.

I sort of copied this by wrapping that green rubbery coated garden wire 9x. It looks like my old landline phone cord. I like the pen coil, but figured I'd get stuff caught in it and the time factor. Downside to rubbery material is that it doesn't clean easily and I might have done it too tightly and hope I'm not strangulating the inside wires.

Also, if you buy any cords with warnings about cancer causing materials and needing to wash your hands after use, you'll now have a barrier so you won't have to touch the risky material.

Binder clips could attach to an old mouse pad or placemat or clipboard lying over table. Might need to be weighted down or attached to table. Even clipping them on a ruler might work.

I cut the toilet rolls in half, stand them all upright in a seed tray, fill them with compost, plant two or three seeds in each planter, in case they don't all germinate, water well, and when the roots appear, plant them straight into the ground ,where they will grow away happily and the cardboard will disintegrate without disturbing the roots.

Well yes, some of do. Why? Because we like to keep our furniture looking nice for a long time. Furniture cost quite a bit, so it's best to protect it. This might seem old fashion, but in the long run it is worth it.

Really wasteful if the rolling pins were still useable. So many other less destructive options f hooks. Then this piece will end up in a thrift shop bkz there's nothing artful about it. There's a saying in my circle about the shabby chic people ruining thrift shops and their goods. First they drove up the prices and now they play at ruining old things , causing them to disappear at an accelerated rate.
