We love to write about interior design at Bored Panda, but we often forget to cover one important group – kids! Most parents will agree that providing their children with a beautiful kids room in which they can thrive, learn and play is of paramount importance, which is why we’ve collected this list of 22 excellent room decoration ideas for children.
A child’s surroundings can have a significant impact on how they grow and develop, so parents always try to make their children’s living spaces as comfortable and fun as possible within their means. I’m not sure my parents could have afforded such decorating ideas as an indoor treehouse, but I still had plenty of bright interior decorations and vivid, colorful artwork up on my walls. Sleeping in a bed that looks like a pirate ship or a princess’ chariot, as one can imagine, would probably fill a child’s life with endless hours of joy.
Of course, arguments can be made for and against these kids room ideas. Sure they all look pretty cool, but how safe is a children’s room with ladders, ropes, and strange out-of-place edges? There are plenty of opportunities here for kids to hurt themselves, depending on their age and how much they like to horse around, so these room decorating ideas may not be for everyone. And as much as we love providing for our children, spoiling them rotten is also a bad idea!

These are awesome but the majority of these requires a person to be pretty wealthy in order to do something similar. Especially the ones that require major renovations, like the sky pirate room. These are not average children's rooms. All of these kids have parents who have a great deal of money.

Yeah, it would be cool if there were ideas that were a bit more do-able for average budgets. Plus, kids will grow out of these things too.
