In the video, Love lies comfortably in the grass as her owner sits beside her. Rather than simply resting, the cow turns her head toward the woman in a gentle, almost request for a cuddle. The interaction is so tender that the text accompanying the clip reads, “Everyone deserves to be this safe and loved!”

Love was born on July 25, 2022, at The Gentle Barn’s Tennessee location. Her mother, Audrey, had been rescued six months earlier after escaping being sent to slaughter. The sanctuary team suspected she might be pregnant, although they expected the calf to arrive later in the year. Love’s early arrival came as a wonderful surprise.

From the very beginning, Love showed remarkable strength, standing just hours after birth and nursing with ease. Her caregivers described her as one of the healthiest calves, and she quickly revealed her lively personality, spending her days racing around and following her mother, Audrey, and older sister, Truth.
