I'm Catherine Hébert, a Montreal-based artist and the person behind The Ugly Cat Studio.

I paint animals and still lifes - birds, cats, everyday objects - the kind of subjects that catch my eye. I paint digitally, and have been doing this for years alongside my day job in visual effects (concept art, matte painting, textures - almost two decades in film and TV).

Every Thursday I livestream the painting process at 7pm ET. People watch, we talk about whatever, and I paint. Most of these pieces end up as prints in my shop.
