The rules.

No chic-lit. Because *as Frank Spencer* I'm a man.

No graphic novels.

Also, I know there are teens on here, but no teen adult fiction where the protagonist finds out they have inherited magical powers or are secretly the offspring of some warrior or are the prophesised chosen one. I'm too old for that stuff.

Frankenstein is fairly short, and a good go to if you fancy a classic; never let me go - kazuo ishiguro is really good, sort of dystopian and quite bleak in places; good omens - terry pratchett and neil gaiman is hilarious; the shadow of the wind - carlos ruiz zaffon is good; the kite runner, khaled hosseini is hard hitting but really good; song of achilles - madeline miller is brilliant if you're into classics (or not into classics, honestly it's just a really good book)

Quick question, why the hell was this downvoted? I know it’s DP but he’s just doing what the post said, and Arc of a Scythe is a really good book.
