There’s a good reason why women never ask their men to buy makeup, and this story illustrates it perfectly. Dedicated boyfriend and Reddit user Blufiz was asked by his “beautiful sunshine” to carry out this Herculean task. Undaunted, the 26-year-old arrived at the pharmacy and, with the help of his cellphone camera an instant messaging, began to navigate the makeup aisle.
“My girlfriend suffers from extreme anxiety,” Blufiz explained to Bored Panda. “I try, as much as I can, to go to the store so she doesn’t have to. Yes I forgot my wallet, but fortunately I live really close to that Right Aid and was able to run home!”

The whole thing was funny, but that "should of" was annoying. English is the third language I had to learn and even I've known since primary school that "should of went" is a childish mistake.

The "tell the kid you're gay" was unecessary. First, gay are not less manly than straight. Second, straight guys have the right to shop for make up too. I'm quite tired of these gender stereotypes.

"Light bright matte". To ALL the people of the female form: People of the male form are unable to understand the difference between bright and light bright matte (unless they are in contact with their.. ehm.. female side..). We don't see any difference between sea mist blue and springwater mist blue. To us it's all BLUE.. The shops know this. They also know that the females are most likely to pick what color wallpaint to get, and thats why the color chart has 30 different versions of the SAME COLOR.. Don't ask us to pick colors for you. We are not equipped for that. And don't get angry with us when we come back with blue when you asked for another shade of blue.

Just because you can't distinguish between like colours doesn't mean anybody who can is gay. You may not be "equipped" for it, many of "us" are though. Lots of men's jobs rely on the understanding that there is more than one blue, or green.

To a date at her local bar, or to a get together with friends. For a good friend's wedding that she can't miss. For a photo she will upload to LinkedIn or her resume. For a family photo. For a holiday office party she can't miss. I could do this all day!

I asked my bf to buy me back pressed powder and lipstick, perfume and even tampons, for the powder, I just have to send him the photo of the used one, for lipsticks, I told him to choose the colors that he likes and that he thinks would look good on me, he got me bright rosy red lipstick ( in fact I was expecting something neutral for daytime makeup, but I enjoy wearing the red anyway.. Girls, when a guy does this for you, it's already very cute.., do not complain of his mistake. And of course, for the perfume, I let him the one that he would like to smell on me..

Anxiety can be very situational. Most anxious people still have to go to work and school, even if they don't want to. Where else would you need makeup...if you were attending a friend's wedding, or a christening, for example. Maybe for a photo for a LinkedIn profile.

The only thing I would suggest would be the check out a online drugstore brand like "Profusion" same products at the drugstore but you can look through them online.

The best way to buy beauty/personal care products is to take pics of the existing product you want to replace. Otherwise, I'd have had so many exchanges just like this with my daughter!

My boyfriend never had a problem with my make up. What he didn't know he asked and got it for me, it's not that hard if you have the name of the product. After a while he even bought me my make up whenever it was gone before I even knew it. Of course in terms of color it can be tricky but seriously why is this so hard for some guys?

Should have gone.....ugh. And actually men and women have different structures in their eyes. Women's eyes are built so that we see and distinguish between colors better, and men's eyes are built to pick up on movement more quickly. It's the difference between one gender having more rods, and the other one having more cones. So, no, it is not fair to send a man out on a *color* hunting mission.......he is just not equipped for it.
