Oh yes, I can imagine "Mooom! Why did you do that?!"

A good way to do that is by making sure he knows what goes on. Ignorance is often the reason for taunting and bullying.

Amazing the difference in this young man & the older, um, "gentleman" who were posted about recently because they reacted so badly to woman's menstrual products.
...maybe we are doing something right. Next News story: Millennials are killing toxic masculinity. Why hummer dealers are worried.

when young - if I had a noticeable stain - I would have been embarassed to be told, but eternally grateful to be saved the horror of finding out the next time I went to the loo - maybe hours later. Luckily our school skirts were navy blue - and if we had an unexpected leak we swivelled our skirts back to front and kept our schoolbags in front of us'.
I lend my jacket to my friend to cover their skirt which is got stain from their period 2-3 times when i was in highschool.. its normal reaction..
It’s a small gesture but one that can save her years of embarrassment. Super sweet.
Real parents do have such conversations with each of their children. It is another way of teaching kindness and support to someone in need. We need more such chats with our teen children.
Thanks for having less discretion than a stranger, mom. Way to go.
It's time that a natural thing of everybody become a non shamefull thing. Period exists. It stains (and we don't like to handwash our beautiful knickers everytime by surprise or being in a hurry). Men, stop doing as if it doesn't exist or it's weird or it's ugly or shamefull. You have hair around your mouth and we aren't shaming you how disgusting and weird and shamefull it is.
This story reminded of the time I was in High School and our 3 period teacher was so strict about us using the bathroom that she made a huge deal if you asked to go during class. My friend was sitting behind me, kept telling me that she had to go but was too scared to ask the teacher. She kept twitching and biting her lip and I was like, just go!! Ask her and I said fine, I'll ask for you cuz I could see that she was having some kind of issue holding it and then before I was about to raise my hand, she grabbed my arm really hard and looked at me with the most shocked look I have ever seen. She whispered, " I just peed" I was like no way! I looked down and there was pee on the floor. Till this day, I could not believe that it actually happened. So I gave her my nice sweater to wear around her waist to hide the wet skirt. THe irony was that when everyone left and we were still sitting down, the teacher asked what why we were still sitting and I said cuz she peed and she got so angry that she did not ask to go to the bathroom!! and was not nice about it at all....by the way even after she gave me back the sweater I threw it away and we NEVER EVER talked about this incident...LOL.
I had my very first period at school when I was only in 6th or 7th grade (dont really remember) and then a boy tapped on my shoulder and told me, and as fast as I could I ran to the restrume. Then later on I HAD thank him
WHAT A GREAT STORY. WHEN IT COULD HAVE BEEN SO BAD, SOMEONE DID A GREAT JOB. THANK YOU YOUNG MAN.
I've been the girl that was teased because they had a period fail( pad fell out onto floor when I was in a school class). So freshing to see a young gent looking to make someone's potential embarrassment not occur
Sometimes I read what guys have done and feel ashamed to be Male. Then a guy does this and I realise there are still “real” males, of all ages, out there. Respect to both.
This kind of stories, pure sheer unadultered kindness always touch me. A very nice gesture, and a thorough understanding of kindness and how to be and act a true gentleman. Well done. I just wish there were more people like this in the world.
I think this young MAN should be commended for handling things the way he did. Something VERY similar happened to me one time. Just it wasnt my first visit from Aunt Flo, and I know I was VERY GRATEFUL for someone letting me know about it. The next day, I was in a FULL BLOWN monthly cramp out.
I could never predict when my period would begin. I was never regular unlike my sister who was as regular as clockwork, so I had plenty of incidents when I was caught by surprise, and other kids would make fun of me. That was a very kind thing to do.
We could all take notes from these two young people. Congrats to both Moms
My first period was in 5th grade, when I had seen blood after using the bathroom (this was before I learned sex education, which was at the end of 5th grade,) I freaked out and cried, but my teacher was nice enough to escort me down to the main office and two people in the office had "the talk" with me. I didn't get grossed out, but relieved that I wasn't having some serious internal infection or something.
Exactly what we want in Bored Panda: positive thoughts. Really nicely done from that boy (and probably from his parents). I hope we'll be able to raise our boys to be as kind as this
How about thanking the boy and not the mom who was not even there. Plenty of people are nice who have d******d parents.
.What a lovely fella! Teens frequently rip each other to pieces so it's nice that, instead, he was caring. Heart warming.HERE► www.jobsthings.com
What a great young man. How knowing beats those who would make fun. This boy is well brought up sisters or no sisters. He will make a great man. Mum and dad should be proud of him.
This is refreshing to read after the story I read yesterday about a middle-aged state representative that thought tampons were dildos and that women hold their period like pee and they only used it as an excuse to goof off for a week every month. That made me want to vomit with rage. Good on this kid, his sisters and his mom for raising him right.
That boy is a total sweetheart. He could have just looked away and gone about his business. I would be much more appreciative than embarrassed when I imagine having gone the whole day with that stain; everyone looking and laughing at me and no one saying a damn word, not even my "friends".
My son would have done the same thing if he had a jacket or anything. Hes just like that! He got his kindness from his dad which is a plus for me that I have 2 human beings that have an awesome heart for people! Love my boys to death and thank Goodness that there are good people in this crazy world.
