Crochet—the art of creating textiles by using a hook to interlock loops of yarn—has been around for a long time, and it continues to stay relevant to people all around the world. A good example of this is the subreddit called, you guessed it, r/crochet.
This online community has 465,000 members, who are using the platform not only to discuss the craft, but also to share their works. It doesn't matter if they're creating an intricate wedding dress, a giant mural expressing support for Ukraine, or a little bouquet of daisies, these folks know what they're doing and their projects successfully show that crochet is virtually limitless. Everything depends on your imagination.

"For me, crochet is a way to relax and get some me-time after a long day of working and raising three children," Krista told Bored Panda. "I love being able to create something with my own two hands and then see it getting used in daily life."

I recommend Barry McDonagh's book Dare! I have suffered from anxiety for 22 years. Have medicines and therapies behind you. But this book takes a different approach and I am gaining more and more confidence. I hope the same for your child. Much love and strength. It's a nice monster!

I just made that SKREEEE noise that shows I find something incredibly cute! Everyone has their own version of the noise. To find out yours just look at a bunch of puppies/kittens in baskets pics and the longer you look the louder the noise. It'll be the one that you make right before you get so loud that only animals can hear you!🤣

"It's not difficult to start crocheting as long as you have the correct tools and equipment," she said.
"A 5mm hook, and some chunky yarn is a great way to start. Add to that a decent video and you're away! An open mindset is key as you will make mistakes but that's how you learn. Be prepared to unpick and do it again... and again, and again if you have to. Practice makes perfect after all!"

I know you didn't ask me, but that plum dress would look really nice with the addition of cream color ruffles in the same fine stitch that you used to decorated the waistline...mabye a series of buttons of cream color on the bodice..?? This is more of that Ombre look, I think you may want to see a little more contrast in colors. I'd say, try adding contrasting DOTS OF COLOR(or edging even) per layer, of other colors that you like. Or even, of the exact same colors that you used. So instead of colors 1 through 7, add little balls / dots of color, per layer, in the order of color 7 through 1. Make sense? Personally, I'd like to see, 3 green leaves of medium brightness added behind. Create them separately and then hold them up to see what pleases you. Or even a purple/lavender...Or edging color on some of the layers...Take your work out into the sunlight, so how the colors look there....See your work in a literally different light....

There are tons of videos on YouTube, from professional crafters to little kids, and websites galore! I prefer written patterns so I can bookmark and come back to it, but for learning, the videos are an excellent staring point!
