The chances are that at least once in your life you had to ask that special somebody to go to prom with you. Or a school dance if you’re on the other side of the pond. No matter the name of the occasion, it is always a pretty awkward and truly nervous experience. And if you’ve ever wondered what that might look like from the invitation receiver’s perspective, wonder no more, as these adorable pangolins illustrate that to perfection.

If you’ve never heard of a pangolin, you probably know what one looks like. These adorable animals are basically a real-life Sandshrew from Pokemon, and in the flesh, they’re still just as cute as they are on a card.

These cool animals are truly fascinating. They are the only known mammal to have scales, they have amazing long tongues, and baby pangolins are the only animals that ALWAYS look like they’re waiting to ask you to prom nervously. Just take a look and you’re sure to fall in love with these interesting animals!

Yep, those adorable critters are the most poached and illegally trafficked mammals in the world mostly due to China. https://qz.com/874854/chinas-insatiable-thirst-for-pangolin-scales-is-fed-by-an-international-black-market/ Please help raise awareness that they deserve our protection - not predation.

Unfortunately the Asian use their scales to make some sort of "medication". Now these helplessness animals are so being extinct. I'm always surprised of how stupid it's to kill animals such as Rhinoceros, tigers, elephants ect..for their body parts. Humans are the greatest predators.

Yes, there are 8 different species of pangolins, and all are endangered. They are poached heavily for their scales. They are not, however, the only mammals with scales...there are several species of armadillos in the Americas.

My heart breaks for these innocent animals. Yes they are absolutely precious and absolutely most trafficked animals on the planet. Humans are monsters.

Poor little guys! How crazy cruelty that sounds! It's their kingdom, are we have to ruin everything good that's left?!

Many people want to have them for pets, but it's not a good idea. They are mostly hunted for their scales, but the illegal pet trade has also reduced their numbers in the wild.
