I’ve always felt a close affinity to Autumn, theres something very poetic and magical about the season. You wouldn’t think it was the season of death and decay with all it’s beauty and vibrancy. It’s almost like Autumn is trying so hard to retain whatever is left of the summer, in it’s final days, which is why I like to call it ‘The Dead Summers Soul. I’ve always thought the most beautiful things come from the saddest places.
To try and reflect Autumn’s more poetic side, I tried to capture a painterly effect in my pictures.
