Hey Pandas, What Is A Physical Item You Saved Up To Get, Then Immediately Ended Up Selling Because You Didn't Like It?
My iPad Air . It was for drawing but I don’t like how big the screen is . I still have it I just mad because I saved up $500 dollars for it.Hey Pandas, Have You Ever Done Something At Work You Knew Was Wrong But Got Away With It?
Since I work from home I'm glad I'm not watched like I was at the office. I work in market research. We're not allowed to have our phones out but they can be on us, but they have to be on silent. Not allowed to browse the internet without permission on our phones nor on the work computers. It's monotonous, repetitive job in a very large, open office of partitioned desks and ... well, it's call centre and it gets boring very, very quickly. I have long hair, and we have a very casual dress code. So, I like to wear hoodies. More than one occasion I have slipped in an earbud inside my sweater and covered the wiring coming up with my hair and listened to some music while still able to do my job. I never got caught doing that. Now that I'm working from home I've found a lot more liberties I can get away with. MwahahahaHey Pandas, Have You Ever Done Something At Work You Knew Was Wrong But Got Away With It?
I discounted deli items to make sure those struggling from the covid epidemic could survive. Lost my job over it.Hey Pandas, Have You Ever Done Something At Work You Knew Was Wrong But Got Away With It?
Giving people raises. I worked as a restaurant manager for a very popular bakery-cafe in the U.S. for 11+ years. It was full of the most hard-working, intelligent, underpaid people. I worked with a young woman who had been a supervisor for 8ish years and had stepped down under the previous (less than great) GM. When I took over, she wanted to step back up. Her pay had been $13/hr. I asked my boss if I could bump it. Nope. When I submitted her pay, I entered the raise anyway. Approved. He didn't even check. He just assumed I would comply. College kids always got passed over for raises when on leave. I started terminating them instead of placing them on LOA so I could hire them back with better wages. If you are a restaurant manager, DO THIS SH*T FOR YOUR PEOPLE. They work hard. You cannot do your job without them.Show All 29 Upvotes
