In Artistry Repurposed, ten visionary artists transform discarded materials into compelling works of art. Reimagining unwanted objects as mediums of expression, they challenge conventional ideas of aesthetics and value. Their creations celebrate sustainability while pushing the boundaries of contemporary art. Each work exemplifies the power of creativity and reinvention, as everyday waste—metal scraps, worn fabrics, broken glass, and more—finds new purpose in their hands.

Through innovative techniques and unconventional approaches, their art defies traditional notions of form and function, offering a striking commentary on consumption, disposability, and the potential for renewal. The exhibition serves as a reminder that fine art is not confined to pristine canvases or expensive materials, it can emerge from the remnants of our daily lives.

By repurposing the discarded into meaning, the artists not only reduce environmental impact but also provoke thoughtful reflection on the world we inhabit. Artistry Repurposed has been curated by Lisa D’Amico and Debbie Silberberg. The exhibit runs from October 4 through October 31, with a public reception on Sunday, October 5, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at The Art Gallery at the Rockefeller State Park Preserve, 125 Phelps Way, Pleasantville, New York.
