I share an office with 3 other coworkers. Last summer, we had a cricket somewhere, but couldn't locate it. It was very strange, since our office is located on the 4th floor and not that reachable from outside.

The cricket would chirp regularly, as we assumed somewhere behind the shelves, and when it got silent, we thought it died. Two weeks ago, the chirping started again. So, almost 6 months later! We were all in shock how she survied (we called or call her Tonka), but we were happy to hear her chirp again. This week, I even saw here. We looked her up. She looks like a European field cricket. Which makes sense, because we are in Europe.

But since today, we can hear two different chirpings!!

We tried to look it up, but we can't find an explanation, why Tonka survived that long? What did she eat? Do crickets hybernate? And how did she got company?Or maybe a baby?

What can we do to make her happy, since we now don't want to lose her, or them? They part of our squad now :)
