Dry Dog Wet Dog: Photographer Shoots Dogs Before And After Bath Time
When award-winning animal photographer Serenah Hodson bathed her dogs, she noticed how their personalities (and, of course, their looks) change before and after their bath. This observation inspired her to create Dry Dog Wet Dog, a series of portraits comparing dogs before and after they’ve taken a bath.
“I decided to create a series of the different looks and not only personalities but the difference in look from groomed to wet,” Hodson writes on her Facebook page. “We get such great texture on the dog when the hair is wet. Some dogs look completely different when wet and this was the joy I wanted to capture.”
Her idea does make sense, because other photographers (namely, Seth Casteel, Sophie Gamand and Carli Davidson) have also found that dogs + water = photo magic!
