Recently, a 25-year-old woman and the owner of the house where she has been living all her life turned to the AITA community for some advice.

In a post that amassed 4.2k upvotes, the woman explained how she recently got a new neighbor who is allergic to her roses. “She lives right next door and won’t stop complaining about my roses,” the author wrote.

The author believes that it’s not her fault: “She should have considered that I had plants when she first went to buy the house. It’s not like it was the cheapest option or anything, I live in a pretty expensive neighborhood,” she argued.

As the tension between them was reaching the boiling point, the author caught her neighbor chopping away at the roses in her garden on camera. This was enough to cause a heated confrontation, so scroll down to find out how it all ended.

She "can't trust doctors with her diagnosis" sounds an awful lot like "she's full of it" to me. Either a hypochondriac or just a liar.

Yeah, she's not even diagnosed with a real disorder and even if she was, it's an easy fix. She just has not not trespass on her neighbor's property and not mess up the plants that she's allegedly allergic to like a weirdo.

This lady is obviously not actually allergic, she just has a compulsive need to control people. This site makes me feel so lucky to have always had reasonable neighbors.

I had an annoying one who kept complaining about my bougainvillea dropping one or two flowers in her driveway. She asked me to cut it down and I refused. Don't make me plant a camellia!! lol

So, there's a comment from OP further down the thread just before the edit appeared. "after I found out she was cutting my roses? Just checked my camera again and SHE IS LOOKING THROUGH MY WINDOWS I'm calling the cops.". Apparently this batcrap crazy neighbour was just on some kind of power trip?

If she was so allergic, how could she handle or be near the roses when she cut them? And who diagnosed her if she doesn't trust doctors? Herself? Crazy.

The story said she was wearing a mask. Almost any mask that will protect the wearer from viruses and bacteria will protect against allergies as well.

We had a neighbor who was furious that "our tree" shed on their car. they demanded we cut down the tree. I suggested they not park on our property. They demanded we cut down the tree. They're actually quite fortunate I'm not as rednecky as my late father, who'd have just shot their car tires out. TLDR: People are nuts.

I concur that "can't trust doctors with it" is code for "it's not real and I don't have it".

I would bet my liver that this woman is not allergic. She just tries this excuse because she doesn't like roses for some reason and wants them gone. If she was truly allergic, and the allergy was airborne, she couldn't have gotten close enough to cut them

Exactly. And if the allergy is not airborne it won't cause her a problem to live next door.

"couldn't trust doctors about their diagnosis" WELL THEN Who diagnosed her with "rose allergy" in the first place ? She's probably an Anti-Science/Mask/Vaccine on a Karen-trip

Oh God this triggers me so hard! As a child grew up in a house my (previously dirt poor) father built himself, from foundation to roof, all plumbing, HVAC, indoor trim, everything, when i was born and raised me there till I was 14. He planted baby trees in the front yard that grew to be typical (here) 50' tall f trees. At 14 new neighborhors moved in behind us. We had a 180 degree view of the water blocks from the beach. The new neighborhood wanted MORE view than their property came with. They demanded my dad cut his trees. As a native American he's big on nature and refused. They proceeded to harass us, thrraten us, trespass, call cops, file lawsuits, Etc, till my sister stopped eating from the ulcer she developed due to stress, and my dad had a nervous breakdown. He sold and we fled. It destroyed our family. Later I heard the creepy neighbor dad killed someone in a DUI, his cheating wife left him, sold their house anyway. Some people are just evil. I wish we'd fought harder to stay.
