All Terraria Pre-Hardmode Bosses And Strategies To Beat Them

Terraria is a 5 dollar game available on console, mobile, and PC. For being only 5 dollars, it’s gameplay is addictingly fun, as you start out being killed by small green slimes, until you kill the lord of the moon himself. This game has so many bosses, but I will be going over the Pre-Hardmode bosses. These are bosses before the Wall of Flesh is killed, as when you defeat it, the game permanently converts to Hardmode.

(1) King slime

King slime is summoned when you kill 150 fallen slimes during the “Slime Rain” event. In my opinion, the best strategy to defeat him is to get under a roof inside a building. King Slime easily gets stuck, and will try to teleport to you 5 seconds after being stuck. As long as the building is long and low enough, you can easily kill him while he’s stuck.

(2) Queen Bee

The queen bee is a boss that is fought in the Underground jungle. It is spawned using “Larva” that break when hit. The easiest way to defeat the queen bee is to get a “Minishark” machine gun from the arms dealer after defeating the Eater of Worlds and taking a musket. Load the minishark with at least 300 silver bullets, which can be crafted by mixing 70 musket balls and 1 silver ingot. Fire at the queen be until you run out of bullets, then shoot her with the bow until she dies.

(3) Eater Of Worlds

The eater of worlds is summoned by exploding 3 shadow orbs, found deep in the corruption. The Shadow orbs can drop several items, 2 of which are the Ball o’ Hurt, and the Musket, which is used to get the Arms Dealer to come into town. To kill the eater of worlds, the best thing to do is have Tungsten armor at the least, and have a sword with very fast attacking speed. Then, stay in a small and enclosed location that’s not too small so you can still dodge. When the Eater charges you, swing your sword and stay still until it’s gone. Heal yourself, and repeat.

(4) The Brain Of Cthulhu

The brain of Cthulhu is the Crimson equivilant of the Eater Of Worlds, and a slightly harder version as well. It is summoned by breaking 3 crimson hearts found deep underground in the Crimson. I would personally beat this boss by beating the Eater Of Worlds first, getting the arms dealer, and using the Minishark to rattle the brain and it’s minions with lead. (Yes, most of these bosses can be easily beaten after defeating the Eater Of worlds)

(5) Skeletron

Skeletron is summoned by traveling far to the dungeon, and talking to the Cursed Old Man. He will tell you “My master cannot be summoned until night.” When you are ready and it is nightfall, talk to him again and click the “Curse” button. This will summon Skeletron. The easiest way to beat Skeletron is to alternate between bow, and musket. Frost burn arrows deal a load of damage, and I would destroy the arms before the head. If you want the best set up, I would go to the top of the dungeon, and set up several layers of platforms, so you can move freely up and down without problem.

(6) the Eye Of Cthulhu

The eye of Cthulhu is summoned by killing Demon eyes, and collecting 6 Lenses. Combining these at a demon altar will craft a “Suspicious Looking Eye” using this eye at night will cause the eye to be summoned. It is also naturally summoned every now and then when the in game text reads “you feel like you’re being watched” or something along those lines. This boss is easily defeated with sword and arrow. The second phase makes the boss lose it’s pupil and turn into a giant mouth. This is the best part to use your sword.

Eventhough I love Terraria a lot and spend quite some hours on it, I feel Bored Panda is not the place for game strategies.

Haha same! I have 58 hours on one of my characters that’s only 3 weeks old. As for the second bit, you’re probably right, but I just wanted to share some awesome tips with others :)
