British Hair Awards 2016: This Finalist Afro Collection Is A Gorgeous Modern Tribute To African Culture
When it comes to hairdressing, Lisa Farrall is one of the best in her field. Her collection, Armour, won first place in 3 categories at The Black Hair Awards and was also one of the finalists in the prestigious British Hair Awards 2016.
Armour (makeup by Suhyun Kang-Emeryshot and shot by Luke Nugent) is a tribute to African culture. It represents beauty and strength, which is usually difficult to capture.

I wonder how heavy that style is on her head??? But I love her eyes
This is my favourite. Amazing shot. She, well all of them, look like they've come straight out of film!
she is so perfectly beautiful, i thought it was a 3d model at first
looks like a final fantasy character :) maybe we should recommand her for Square Enix
...Where ever you are going....where ever you have been....damn I would love to have lived that too ~~
But it is an optical illusion! That shading is pro

~~~~~>>>>>.....She is a Messenger.......>>>>.~~~~~~~ Very Fit & Always in the race.... like a beautiful internet design
I got this far and I have to say I don't see why they all had to have such psycho contacts, or why so many were practically naked. I thought this was a hair exhibition... As for the hairstyles, most of them are very artsy and cool, some seem dangerously flammable :D The white markings on the faces/skin are very beautiful, maybe the high point for me. This one I'm commenting on is very freaky though, especially the metal links in the hair. Like a female version of Data and that's where you peel the android's skin off to get to the circutry :D
~~~~~~~~~~~~~....Looks like an Exquisite Spirited Woman with Modified Mind-Blowing Wisdom
it's so tame compared to the others, I like it, though. my daughter has the same haircut.
Just why all the blue and other contacts...makes the models seem less human why their eyes look fake...
This is a highly conceptual shoot, it's supposed to be otherworldly. As a Stylist, I think the styling on this shoot is amazing! It's fantastical, futuristic, and still maintains a link to cultural roots. (No pun intended.)

Going to agree with everyone else who didn't appreciate the contacts. LOVED the hairstyles, but the contacts were a distracting, instead of supporting, feature.
The point is, it is a show. A type of fashion show. So yes, things are over the top, like the contacts and the nudity.
I love all this <3 But I don't see the point of the blue lenses...
I like how it looks but it also looks very fake like they used a Lot of Photoshop
Great hair. Heavily photoshopped overall (skin and makeup etc), but well done.
I agree on the photoshop, it's way too much. The models look amazing and they are probably gorgeous without all that retouching.
