Moomin House In Naantali, Finland
There's just something about a round house that states "Efficiency" and "Good Looks", all in one package. I'd Love to own one like this. ;D
But you'd have to have all your furniture custom made or have weird gaps everywhere. Or maybe just not put any furniture by the walls.
Load More Replies...It is out of a fairytale. It's the Moomin house we have in Finland
Load More Replies...You sure can! Pls google "inside the moomin house in naantali" - you will find lovely pictures. Greetings from Naantali, Finland :)
Load More Replies...Moomin House is attraction at amusement park Moominworld. So real people don't live there :D Moominworld is based books written by Tove Jansson and there is also animated tv-series.
this is a copy of the the moomins house the Animation Moomins_ho...360977.jpg
It looks like little gnomes should be living in it and the snow just adds to it's charm!
Stadt-Bad Gotha In Gotha, Germany
Because it's a well taken picture, it is centered and respects other good rules of a good photography.
Load More Replies...This looks so much like one of the locations used in the movie "The Unbearable Lightness of Being".
How different it would be without the red--somebody knew what they were doing.
A Chimney Sweep From Tallinn, Estonia
Maybe coveralls are just that awesome over there.
Load More Replies...He looks familiar.. Are we sure he's a chimney sweep, and not an actor who maybe played one? I swear I've seen him..
Hotel Belvédère Near The Rhône Glacier, Switzerland
Its a shame that such an unique stopover is boarded up. This hotel/restaurant/gift-shop is in a perfect location for offering a break, from the twisting and winding two lane traffic. I hope it will be reopened soon.
looks to be in a precarious location as far as automobile traffic goes.
Maybe it had to shut down due to too many people hitting it because of the icy roads?!
You can see this Hotel also in James Bond "Goldfinger" - bond-furka.jpg
Swimming Pool In Hamburg, Germany
All this place needs to for the lights to flash and disco music to play!
This can't be real. If it is, please call Nicolas Windign Refn to go shoot at that place!
Looks like the set of one of the early Dr Who episodes. Nice and retro!

Pink is supposed to be a very calming color. Especially that shade.
Load More Replies...I kind of like it, because it brings back memories of my early '60s visits to Hutzler's department store in Baltimore as a young child.
actually it's a bit crooked and that would drive Wes, me and every guy with OCD mad...
Not really "Barbie" pink. This is pastel, whereas Barbie pink is more like Pepto Bismol.

WOW! The hotel is beautiful, but that mountain just dwarfs it. Looks as though it could crush the hotel if there was an earthquake.
Good Records In Dallas, U.S.
It looks more to a scene from 'And They Lived Happily Ever After' with Johnny Depp
Door In Kiev, Ukraine
Kind of hurts my eyes, but at least you won't confuse it with the neighbors.
Conservatory Of The George Eastman House In Rochester, U.S.
Is that a real dead elephant on the wall??!! This I do not approve of! Nice other wise.
Ah, yes, so much nature. Too bad Eastman - kodak did so much damage to real nature with Lake Ontario pollution.
I really hope that's a fake elephant head. They are such intelligent and sensitive creatures. ;_;
Malina Swimming Pool In Bratislava, Slovakia
it was taken by famous Slovak photographer Maria Svarbova who made a full collection of photos like this... swimming pools session
Cool! Thanks for sharing. I'm going to look her up now.

The only thing missing is a curly mustache sporting detective and a vexing murder mystery.
“Ebb Tide” At Gold Crest Resort Motel By Tyler Haughey
Estoi, Portugal
Well I suppose the Wizard of Oz would have a summer retreat with a yellow brick road.
I'd like it better if it were all one color but other than that, it's gorgeous!
It is a palace :) It's called Palácio de Estoi. The pink walls aren't marble though, but beautiful nonetheless!
Load More Replies...Only I expected a rose garden under it instead of what's there... That certainly would be beautifully fitting
Load More Replies...Spadina Road, Toronto
I really don't know why, but my eyes keep moving leftward, expecting to see the original Moulin Rouge sitting there. I just Love old classic buildings such as this one. :D
I love it! I want to live in something just like it in my area! I love old buildings like this.
If only all the ugly box duplexes being built everywhere looked more like these classic beauties. Why can't we still build homes like this?
I've been down Spadina Road when we visited toronto in the spring!! I love that city. Lots of places like this.
For some reason this sorta reminds me of Gnomeo and Julia xD (though this is way prettier)
"Chateau" By Jeremy Kohm In Ottawa, Canada

The Exchange District In Winnipeg, Manitoba
Don't be fooled... Winnipeg is *ahem*, to put it nicely, not at all nice.

This photo proves that a good photographer can make the most mundane scene look absolutely beautiful.
Looks like a train for the Minions! (I don't know why but I love those little guys) *L*
Conference Room In North Korea
No different from any conference room anywhere in the world. We file in and either slow-cook in winter or boil in summer as the thermostat hasn't been repaired in 4 years. We sit down and get bored to tears by someone who thinks they excel as public speaking droning on and on. The green is a refreshing change. Hopefully the weird North Korean Ruling Things in the photographs will be covered up by a graph or something that nobody will be interested in.
They really have photos everywhere. I wonder if they're in the restrooms too.
"You might wonder why you were all called here and why everything in the room is made of stain resistant and easily cleaned material..."
Cinema
It looks like the conference room in North Korea.
Load More Replies...Oh wait I see someone figured it out. Sorry for Germany

Home Office Of An Mcm House In Portland, Oregon
I would have those encyclopedias upright and in order and on one shelf within 15 minutes of moving in.
Apparently it's better for fragile books to sit this way, less damaging on the ol' spine (-:
Load More Replies...Those are code (law) books. Obsolete now of course, everything's on line. They make a harmonious pattern here, but certainly just for this photo. You'd have to be nuts to use all that shelf space that way all the time just for the visual effect.
Mongolia
I love how every place is very specific, and then it's just the entire country of Mongolia

Empty Pool
A lot of these pictures look as if they have been taken in North Korea.
The pool is filled with water, and the pictyre title says Empty Pool. I don't get it.
I'm curious if they were smuggled photos or if was allowed to take them if north Korea

oh nooo my TOC is killing me! that painting is not in the middle of the wall!!!!!!
It is in the middle of the repeating pattern. Maybe the furniture has shifted a little to one side.

It is definitely NOT Warsaw. We do have a hotel of that name but it is entirely different building :-)

This is likely North Korea. Cartoon characters on the wall are wearing traditional Korean outfits.

Old Athens Airport, Greece
That looks to be a very old picture considering the vehicles shown.

Beauty Salon Waiting Area In North Korea
"Here are the government sanctioned hairstyles you may choose from". :(
It's probably for show, as some refugees who have escaped NK have said most of these shops are just for photo ops and they don't really go anywhere for services, such as salons. Some residents are assigned to areas if tourists come along, so there will be some kids assigned to ice skate at a rink or women propped up in salons, etc.
Even the kids look like characters from one of his films.
