9 Rare Photos Of Peter Dinklage Reveal His Unseen Side During His Punk Rock Band Days
As anybody who’s seen Peter Dinklage singing Space Pants on Saturday Night Live will know, the younger, smarter, and frequently more inebriated brother of Jaime and Cersei Lannister is no stranger when it comes to letting rip on the vocals, regardless of the consequences. But did you know that Peter Dinklage/Tyrion Lannister/Space Pants Guy was actually in a punk/rap/funk band called Whizzy way back in the mid-nineties? Well, neither did we until we stumbled upon this rare collection of pictures to prove it.
Peter, who was Whizzy’s co-frontman and who also played the cornet, apparently joined the band after moving to New York after college. No video footage of their performances exist as far as we know, but with lyrics like “when the show is over and my rhymes are through, I head to the kitchen ’cause I need some food,” we’ll leave it up to you to decide whether that’s a bad thing or not! We’ll never watch Game of Thrones in the same way again…
