74-Year-Old Grandpa Accidentally Calls The Wrong Person, But Still Ends Up Receiving Help
The quarantine we’re currently experiencing due to the rapid spread of COVID-19 is certainly a traumatic experience for many. And while some rely on books and movies to escape the horror of our reality, some people not only find an escape, but also a way to connect through social media. One 74-year-old recently found himself in a bit of a pickle when he couldn’t set up his brand new cell phone to work. Unable to go out and get assistance, the old man decided to use a landline and contact his son, Bobby. Accidentally, he phoned a complete stranger instead, but that was just the beginning of a wholesome story.
Twitter user Tim recently shared a thread on the social media site, detailing this interaction with the 74-year-old. Fortunately, when he received the call from a total stranger, he decided to help him out. After all, these are trying times for all of us and we could all use some kindness and help.

Share on FacebookAnyone else having problems like this with their parents though? Like you keep telling them to stay in the house and these m**o's are like naaaaaaaaaah. My dad has gastric cancer and he keeps wanting to go to Home Depot. Obviously under no circumstances am I going to allow that. It is like talking to a toddler, but harder to keep them from leaving the house.
I wish I still had parents to wrangle into staying home but, since I don't, I'll tell y'all a secret: HIDE THEIR FREAKIN' CAR KEYS. No, srsly, HIDE. THEM. When they complain about not being able to find them, well, it must be fate tryin'a keep their collective asses safe, then, right? Right.
