Most people don’t enjoy their jobs, and most people don’t get paid very much either, but Ryan isn’t most people. He’s an internet star making $11 million per year by reviewing toys on YouTube, and the craziest part is that he’s only six years old.
He’s the presenter of Ryan ToysReview, an online channel with over 10 million subscribers, and according to Forbes he was the joint eighth highest paid YouTuber last year after raking in $11 million in pre-tax income. He started the channel in 2015 when he was just four years old, and since then he’s racked up billions of views which have generated some massive revenue for the youngster. His channel became a hit after his Giant Egg Surprise video went viral (it’s been viewed over 800 million times), and now he’s so popular that his mom Loann, a former science teacher, has quit her job to work on his account full time. Jealous much? We certainly are.
Meet Ryan, the 6-year-old who’s living the dream

The channel, which has over 10 million subscribers, sees Ryan opening and reviewing various toys and food
“One day, he asked me, “How come I’m not on YouTube when all the other kids are?” said Ryan’s mom Loann. “So we just decided—yeah, we can do that”
“It’s also a great way for us to spend more time together as a family and to bond with him,” said Ryan’s dad
“He loves making videos,” said his mom. “Every time I tell him we’re going to film, he gets so excited”
Their most viewed video, called ‘Huge Eggs Surprise Toy Challenge’, has over 1 billions views!

I'm a teenager but I feel old because I don't really get the whole hype behind it? No hate, but why?
Well, honestly, it makes a lot more sense to me than all the cats craze. But who cares? Let's just enjoy. As long as it's harmless and inoffensive...
Load More Replies...Congrats. I make less than 50k a year to repair machines. I feel like I am losing at life... Maybe I should make videos on YouTube
Really many people have tried to become a YouTube star but failed miserably. Usually you have to get over 500,000 subscribers before you can quit your old job and that also usually requires help from Patreon and other similar websites.
Load More Replies...I wish all the best to the kid but if he is really making £11,000,000 a year then f**k me i have been doing something wrong in my life. I find it hard to believe he makes that, he is just making videos of toy reviews, loads of people on youtube are doing that. This makes me kind of sad as well because so many other places need money and £11,000,000 is going to some little brat and his parents. Maybe im just jealous but i don't believe its that much.
You guys do realize he bought the views right? If you look under comments and try to read them none will load. If you try and look into people actually subscribed to him they'll most likely be totally made up of foreign accounts that are taken advantage of by Americans who want fame. The fact that bored panda did a piece on this is insane. I don't care about downvotes and I don't care if you think I'm jealous.
You've obviously never seen the dark underbelly that is youtube for toddlers. Search for any nursery rhyme and look what comes up and how many views it has.
Load More Replies...Wow, there seems to be a lot of negativity regarding this article...either people don't believe the amount of money the kid is earning (although the source is Forbes magazine), or they don't "get" why it's so popular. OK, so you're under no obligation to be happy for this family...but why throw shade? Blowing out someone else's candle doesn't make yours shine any brighter. The time you spend trying to hurt other folks could be time spent building towards your own success.
Videos = worthless trash content + watching how this kids ego inflates to the size of a blimp.
Load More Replies...Most of this kind of videos have millions of viewers. They're for babies and toddlers, and probably one of the harmless content in youtube. The target audience (0-3 years) click anywhere on the screen (take a look at the comment sections), and click every videos recommended by youtube on the right bar; then the result is this.
On the subject of these videos being harmless: They are if you do not think that this kind of advertisement has any bad effect on the tiny kids watching it. All the kids around me are flooded with sooo many toys, always a new one and more and more and more... from such a young age we teach them that cosuming is happiness..
what kind of world do we live in when a random person makes so much by filming unimportant, stupid things. glad the family is having fun and all , my hate isn't towards them but the system that lets this happen.
I named my son Ryan,he named his son Ryan, now every thing l read has a Ryan. What happened to John,Joe,Mike Bill?Stop naming your kids Ryan? This is ridiculous! And Merry Christmas.
I'm amazed, yet not surprised at all at the percentage of people in the comments who are just whining because he makes much more money than you do. Cutting someone else down because they make a killing doing something that harms absolutely nobody is just the worst. It says much more about you than this kid or his bank account. FYI, if you would've invested less than a grand in bitcoin 5 years ago you'd be richer than this kid.
agreed. no idea what a bitcoin is, but agreed.

US$ 11 Million? I'm not so sure it is that much. 3-4 Million might be reasonable. I heard a youtuber from UK name danTDM (almost 17 Million Subscribers) makes around US$ 3-4 Million annually, and he has live shows in UK, US and Australia.
I can't stand this channel, it's disgusting, a channel dedicated to being as drawn out and sugar high as possible? Munge. Absolute volatile fiery caustic anode munge.
For the ones askimg how it is possible I have the answer: Toddlers, they cannwatch avideo 50 times on a row, daily for 2 months. And today's toddlers have movile devises at will. I have seen this family's videos and are ok, appropriate content for kids and even the related videos are fine.
My niece loves this kid.. I don't understand it, but if it makes my niece happy in this horrible world, it's good enough to me.. Thanks Ryan and your parents for giving children entertainment
My children are big fans of Ryan and have watched all his videos and have sent him several messages but he does not answer to messages and that's really disrespectful on fans
He doesn't earn the money. He just can't because of the rules. His parents might get it and save it until he's eighteen. Be he himself doesn't earn it. Children under the age of 13 aren't allowed to work at all. :D
How do we have children in movies then?, of course there are a lot of rules and regulations, children are allowed to work in certain industries, they wouldn't be allowed to go and work in the factory for 8hrs a day obviously.
Load More Replies...guys, quit hating on this kid, please. he probably gets enough rude comments on youtube, it isn't necessary to add more here. you can say your opinions, that's totally fine, but if they are rude and hurtful, just don't.
You do realize the kid WANTED to start his channel?
