Having spontaneously booked a trip to the middle of the Peak District, some friends and I spent our days discovering as many places possible in about 72 hours. Not realizing this was the time for the heather-blooming to reach its peak, we got greeted by a sea of purple! Never in my life have a experienced so much of one color, but giving our “luck” with the weather, meaning constant rain, the colors got enhanced even more and the beauty was indescribably. This also meant the grass was a lot greener on this side, making my countless hours of watching English countryside series and wishing to be there, come to life for a few days. But to top this trip of, we saved a sheep! As we were climbing the Stanage edge we heard a bleating from a crevice, and looking down we saw a very distressed sheep. So spending a good 1 hour walking around the area trying to receive reception, we finally called Rspca and the sheep got brought back up! Hopefully my photos will convey some of the beauty I got to experience. Enjoy!
