I am a San Francisco based designer and Halloween is one of my family’s favorite holidays. It’s so much fun each year, unfortunately 2020 has changed how we’ll celebrate it. In fact 2020 is so scary itself, we might not need to come up with any additional scares for Halloween.
Because of the pandemic lots of everyday things we took for granted, like going to a concert, visiting friends or traveling are no longer available or pretty scary. In these cartoons I focused on highlighting our daily struggles, and trying to be lighthearted and festive for Halloween.
I spent a few evenings drawing these, it was so much fun for me and my family. I hope these will bring some joy and festive Halloween spirit despite our new reality.
