I just had to put my fourteen year old chow to sleep. I love that animal more than most humans I've known. My heart is broken, but I wouldn't trade the ache away for even one less day with her. Every moment was precious and wonderful, and so worth the exquisite agony of losing her.

My dog died in my arms no warning just died. He was the best thing I have ever been part of, and now 11 years later I still think he moves next to me, or wake up and think he is sleeping behind my legs so that I cam pinned and cannot move.

This happend with my cat... she was a rescue and was almost put down because nobody wanted her, we took her in, she had one blind eye and it healed while we had her, then she and her brother got sick and died in less that a week, she died in the night in my mom's hands, and me and my mom could not sleep that night, we both had to skip school and work the next day, then a week or so after that, I could swear that God sent her and her brother down to sleep in my bed for one last night..... it has been 4 or 5 months but I still feel the pain and am crying as I write this

This is so me! After my cat was diagnosed with diabetes, I would walk into my apt with two shopping bags. One would have an $80 vial of insulin, a $40 box of needles, and $36 bag of diabetic cat food. The other bag would have a 12 pack of ramen noodles, and a dozen boxes of mac and cheese.

I volunteer at a shelter and one of the sweetest things I ever saw was this old guy asking if we had any Pomeranian dogs. He explained that his daughter's ex had a Pomeranian, and after the break up, his daughter really, really missed that dog!

when I married my late husband no animal was allowed in his house well that soon changed dogs cats and the occassional guinea pig poor man , but when the small dog came guess who let it sleep on the bed yep you got it

Actually this is really good to talk to pets with a high, skeaky voice, i'm an ethologist and there was some studies about that in comparison to babies.THE SAME! you get more attention from both with high voice, because mammals are in the high sounds when happy, and in the deep ones for agression.this is very serious you can continue to look ridiculous (who cares?) you are scientifically right! no difference either between cats, dogs and the other little mammal that we call a baby in that matter.

So true. And I learned that we are somehow genetically programmed to speak to babies in what my psychology professor called "mother-ese" because they respond so much better to it.

I began housetraining my baby when he was 8 weeks old and gave a treat after every poo 💩 and wee, he still has a treat after each performance and he will be 12 this year 🐶💕😊🍗 🍦
