People Are Sharing Hilariously Genius Ways To Banish Intrusive Self-Hating Thoughts
Many of us deal with anxiety and intrusive thoughts, and people develop different coping mechanisms to live with them. This one, put forward by Tumblr user bulbubsaur, may just be the most hilariously effective method so far.
Dissassociating from intrusive thoughts and experiencing them instead as coming from an annoying or laughable stranger seems to work for many people, the ability to ridicule and laugh the interlopers off gives an element of power and control back to the suffererer. After bulbubsaur shared her method, many others jumped on the thread to tell their own stories and ways of coping with their demons, and it is truly enlightening while darkly funny at the same time.
Of course, if you do suffer from anxiety or any other condition that gives rise to a troublesome inner voice, seek medical and psychological help. But at the same time, learning from the experiences of others is a valuable resource! So scroll down below to see bulbubsaur’s hilarious tip, and check out what people are doing to cope. And it’s all served with a healthy dose of humor thrown into the mix!

One of my friend, not anxious, but badly under depression, started helping neighborhood dog shelter everyday for 2 hour in morning and 1 hour in evening, and just in couple of months there was huge improvement in his condition, he was no longer suicidal, didn't need 24*7 watch, medications reduced and after a year, just turned back into completely normal being. Since then, I always advise people to try and get some animal in their life if they are depressed or anxious or feeling out-caste, specially from a shelter, it boosts up the moral. It might not work for everyone, but it worked in one case at least which I know of, so I have enough faith in animal power, and I believe in it.
@ Ladies and Gentlemen: Any kind of volunteer work can help in this way. And there are always organizations who need help.

hought i would be the only one doing this. 😂 i associate my negative thought into the whisper of Gaea. ( since i love percy Jackson ) so whenever i have negative thought "why are you so ugly" I'll said say the girl who her face constantly being stepped on by billions of people. 😂😂
O mi God, This is the MOST brilliant thing I've ever seen! I have two sons battling mental issues, and I wish I could love on this a zillion times! Brilliant!
For Deadpool fans out there, I like to think I have a yellow bubble and white bubble in my head when I'm about to have an anxiety attack. One of the voices will lead me to focus on reasonable solutions and the other will crack jokes to lighten up the mood. I swear it won't turn you into a crazy merc!.. maybe just crazy.. XD
It ties in to some of Eckhart Tolle's writing, the main idea being: you are NOT your thoughts. Sometimes you must step back, and simply watch the thoughts go by.
