I caught up this weekend with Oakland based artist Kally Williams at the Treasure Island Flea, and was instantly in love with her work.
She depicts our favorite characters from the Star Wars series in vintage, Victorian era themed portraits. The effect is quite haunting and at times, humorous. Imagine framing “Uncle Chewie” and hiding him among your relatives on a family portrait wall. I love the idea!
The Hans and Leia with AT-AT walker pet cracks me up too, and I have never seen Boba Fett looking so dapper. Catch her at art shows around the Bay Area.
