I typically photograph cats and I've found that when I take photos of cats with their tongues sticking out, people come into the shelter for those particular cats, so I knew I wanted to photograph dogs with their tongues out. All of these dogs are available for adoption in Los Angeles and I hope these photos help them find homes.
