Last year I was lucky enough to get the chance to travel the world. I quit my job and spent almost a year traveling through fantastic countries all over the world. I saw unbelievable sights and met amazing people, both locals and travelers. This video shows just a few of the places I got to visit. Although my head gets in the way a lot, it also shows many different types of transport used to get around, from volcano boards and ziplines to horse – drawn trains and rubber – tyred tubes.

There were too many highlights but some of the most memorable moments included:
– Accidentally entering a carnival in Colombia and shaking hands with the Colombian President;
– Getting lost at sea between Panama & Colombia on a small catamaran and being rescued by a cargo ship and the Colombian Navy;
– Watching the world cup final with over 100,000 Argentinians on the Copacabana beach, Brazil;
– Having a wild tarantula crawl over me after sunset at the Tikal Ruins in Guatemala;
– Boarding down and roasting marshmallows on active volcanoes in Nicaragua;
– Playing football with the hill tribe in the Colombian jungle;
– Meeting Pablo Escobar’s brother at his house in Colombia;
– Abseiling down the waterfalls in Costa Rica;
– Swimming with hammerhead sharks at the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador;
– Attempting to shoot a hoop on court after a Miami Heat game, U.S.A.;
– Being an extra in “Neighbours”, Australia;
– Crossing Vietnam by motorbike and interacting with locals along the way.
To anyone thinking about taking some time off to travel the world, do it. I can’t recommend it enough. As they say in Colombia ¡Quien lo vive, es quien lo goza!
(“He who lives it, enjoys it!”)
