If you research you will see that it is estimated that between 1 and 10% of adverse events are reported so the actual numbers are much higher. Many deaths will be attributed to sids or shaken baby syndrome. That is utter nonsense. If there were no risks there would be no compensation. Over 3 billion has been payed out by the courts in the US alone, funded by the tax payer as 75cents are taken off the profit from each vaccine to pay out to the poor families.

I admit I got a little confused. I'm not anti-vax; my kid had all hers. But they don't vaccinate for chicken pox here, in fact, people try to get their kids infected so that they are immunized that way. Measles can cause death and mumps can cause meningitis in young infants and leave them with disabilities. I don't think I've ever heard anything like that about chicken pox? Anybody have more info on that?

Vaccines do not cause autism. The study that argued it does has been refuted entirely. It was a study based on 8 children. One of them seemed to have autism-like symptoms, but this was found to be untrue. It is a totally bogus study.

The analogy with the seatbelt is just perfect. I had a friend in college that had his little sister killed in a car crash. He wasn't wearing his seatbelt and was eject from the car when she found herself stuck in it when the fire declared. Knowing that, i still always make sure everyone is buckled in the car, specialy my kids, because just as adam says "a seatbelt is much more likely to save your life". Plus anti-vaxx initiate based on a total lie of Andrew Wakefield. It is just as if you wouldn't buckle up because a coffin maker was shouting everywhere a seatbelt is the most absolute danger!

You know what 'anti' means right? By definition, an anti-vaxxer who isn't opposed to taking vaccines is like a vegetarian who eats meat. Noone is against making people aware of EXISTENT side effects; that is not what the anti-vaxx movement is about. And yes, of course I recommend everyone taking them, because the side effects aren't as bad as the illness itself. A fever is always better than measles, just as a seatbelt is much more likely to save your life than decapitate you.

Which side effects, specifically, are you talking about?

June Burnett Amen...these people believe b******t too and are one sided. They dislike your comment because they have no reason or commen sense. They also follow propaganda and lies but they're right in what they believe. It's sad on how many deaths and sickness vaccines causes but these people don't care about those victim's. I see now that we live in a intolerant and one sided world and people don't care for those against things like this. But you have no trouble with the big pharma companies making money off chemicals injected into children? I've seen a lot more than ONE scientist admitting to the proof of harm from vaccines and many doctors who admit it as well. And I know families who have children who HAVE been harmed. Sorry that should say the a co author of the study appealed his removal of licence and had it reinstated so the paper has been shown to not actually be fraudulent as claimed

1.1% + 89.9% doesn't equal 100%. I don't usually like to be pedantic, but in this case, if you can't add to 100, then you might not be best suited for arguments like this or trying to sway others. Autism exists. Every effect has a cause, but given the overwhelming amount of evidence in support of vaccines, with no link to autism, you should start looking elsewhere (I am the father of an autistic child btw). The list of things you are scared of have all been thoroughly proven not to present or of any relevant concern. Please educate yourself, and by that I mean become science-literate, or, if you choose not to, which I suspect you won't, leave discussions like these to people that are. Jon Oliver's latest episode would be a great one for you to watch. You might get offended (which I think is well deserved), but you'll get a baseline education, learn a little about herd-immunity, and see why what you are spreading is so dangerous

People are born with autism. People with autism have always existed. The only reason it has risen in number is because we know more about it and it becomes clearer to recognise and diagnose. There is not a single case of autism caused by vaccines.
