You may remember a post we did a couple of months ago featuring illustrator John Atkinson's super-abridged versions of classic novels. Well now Bored Panda has decided to compile an extended list of his wryly humorous comic creations for all of you pandas to appreciate. As you can see from the cartoons below, the Canadian-based illustrator certainly isn't short of ideas. His work pokes fun at everything from pets, puns, and social media to books, grammar, and smartphones, yet each of the cartoons have one thing in common - they're all guaranteed to make you smile. Do you have a favorite? Then don't forget to vote!

*read as David Attenborough* Though these fossils may be ubiquitous in the geologic record, but what is more remarkable are those rare, living examples of such technology. Much like the Celocanth of the ocean, present day descendants, perfectly adapted and largely unchanged from their ancestors, still occupy secluded niches of the technosphere...

With those descriptions, it sounds like Dante's Inferno is the most entertaining read, lol.

This reminds me of the first Final Fantasy. At the very first village (if I remember correctly), there is a graveyard and on one of them it says "here lies Link" in the English version, and the hero of Dragon Quest (Hero Papas, I guess) in the original Japanese version. Because of rivalry.

This is quite true!! ------------ I've never figured out how one person (or even a whole family) could possibly need that much storage. Seriously... this computer is about 18 months old, and was "top of the line" at purchase, including a 1 terabyte hard drive. It will be completely obsolete, with every connection and system burnt out - and I'll still have 3/4 (or more) of the hard drive space "free"!! ------------ As it is, it came w/Windows 8, and I upgraded to Win10 this year. So I've got 2 complete operating systems in protected sectors; plus a c**p ton of games, all my documents, pictures and music, and whatever else comes along (cookies, history, browser add-ons, drivers, etc) stored on here... and so far I've barely used 10% of the hard drive space. I can't imagine EVER using a full terabyte of storage. In fact, if I ever did use that much, I'd have to sign up for some kind of 12-step program for computer addicts, lol.

OMG - I remember the days of waiting for the dial up connection to go through... and constantly getting booted back off again as well. I remember feeling a lot like that skeleton too - just trying to get through reading my email without getting kicked out of AOL again (AOL should be in this montage, btw!!)

I must be getting too old... I don't even recognize most of the logos on the left. Plus, I don't see the point of having so many different accounts - especially when you're likely to post the very same thing on all of them (usually a picture of yourself passed out on some grungy bathroom floor at a bar or party - or, if you're lucky, you made it home to puke in your own toilet). I've got Facebook, Twitter, Google+ (pretty much forced when I got a Gmail acct), and although I have a YouTube login, I've never posted anything there (I watch cat videos there, of course, and segments of old shows or a favorite artist performing live... but that's pretty much it). Very, very recently I signed up for Pinterest - again, it was forced so I could read a recipe link from Facebook. I really hate being forced to sign up for all these accts (who could even remember all those passwords?), which is why I never really use them.

I wish this happened. I wouldn't need to learn about gravity then.
