Cooling though the shaft? This seems in incredible waste of energy. If you finish your beer so slowly that it gets warm, all the sparkling will be gone anyway, so warm or cold does not help much with the taste anyway...

I know a place here in Germany which is basically called "beer stock exchange". They also have big monitors which show what kind of beer is popular and then lower the price for that exact beer. Quite entertaining.

I've seen this at a few beer bars around town, its very helpful to see what's popular, especially when there is a limited release where the pub may have only gotten one keg. Don't want to miss out! :)
