It all started with a recurring dream about a house. One morning, I was describing the house to my husband and I tried to draw a floor plan. For some reason, my memory of the dream fell apart when I created a linear sketch, and thought “what if I drew snapshots of the house?”
Our dreams (or memories of them) often appear as snippets that are loosely related, so I decided to illustrate the house in this way. It worked – so I kept going. I keep a notebook by my bed and take notes throughout the night to tip off my memory in the morning. Then I re-create my dreams as best I can.
