Dutch Artist Illustrates Rats To Show Their Cute Side

Dutch artist Nadya Bonten-Slenders creates beautiful drawings, usually with one or more cute rats as the center point, though every now and then she branches out to other adorable animals like hamsters, cats, pandas, and sometimes even people. Nadya has been running her own illustration business for a couple of years now.

Over the years she has developed a drawing style that is truly her own; the cute animals in her illustrations are always adorable as a button and have an ethereal and delicate air about them. Nadya is a self-taught artist and thus built her career on experience only, making sure to always improve her drawing techniques. Nadya also illustrates children’s books.

In 2013 she started a 365-day illustration challenge. For the duration of one year, she made and published one drawing idea per day. This really shaped and improved her cute drawing style and creativity.
