We've had quite a few hair trends in the past year - holographic hair, glow-in-the-dark hair, hidden rainbow hair - to name a few. Yet another new hair color trend is on its way and it's kind of like the new and improved rainbow hair trend! Say hello to shine line hair.
Actually, the hashtag #shineline isn't all that new, it started way back in 2014 and has now reemerged. The main idea of the beauty trend is that, instead of blending hair dyes to create an ombre rainbow effect, the hair is bleached horizontally or vertically to create a shine line. "I wanted to create the effect that a laser beam is hitting your beautiful hair at a certain spot," colorist Aura Friedman told Allure. This hair color idea definitely looks like a laser beam is hitting the hair 24/7! It's magical. Yup this is the one for me. So In getting this done professionally I would ask for "Shine Line Hair"? Then whip out the pic! .lol.." make me look like this please!" LOLOLOL (But Seriously) ..

Sadly they will fade to gray when it starts growing out. Too bad they cant come up with colors that stay that color...

Irredescent, chromo key, metallic..My first thought and response was..Mermaid Tail Hair..and the colors of Everything Ocean from Algae to the Deep Blue Sea.. Then I saw the comments!! Kismit!!

You're never too old! Be you and only you, I recommend looking around for a color/style you really love and show it to your hairstylist. :) Never tell yourself you can't do something.

Well... if you only do it on the lower layer of hair (like how some were here as well), it's not visible if you let your hair down.
