Paintings On Porcelain Inspired By The People I See In French-Style Cafes (Part 2)

I am Başak Erdemir and I live in Istanbul. I do doodles, paintings, cross stitches, calligraphic scratches and clay sculptures. I also like to share my stuff in social media and just love to have comments which I think help me to constantly regenerate my style and strengthen my hunger to create.

I use a group of patterns to visualize the feelings I want to embed in my works: on porcelain, paintings etc. Playing with weight of the mix, the sequence and the densities, I switch among the feelings. In this series I wanted to reflect the women from cafes all around the world from my window. I don’t mean physically, but soul wise what I see when I look at a woman. I even named them; with whatever name rings in my head.
