22-year-old Collin Clarke always wanted to be a body-builder. However, the Evansville, Indiana employee of Bob’s Gym North suffers from Down syndrome, a condition that is often accompanied by hypotonia and can result in reduced muscle strength. Undeterred, Clarke has been training with body-builder Glenn Ubelhor for the last year, has lost 27kg (60lb), and will be competing in a body-building competition on November 14th.

“I feel great! I’m so happy going in, body-building’s in my blood, and I always wanted to do it, ever since I was a kid,” Clarke told 14News. “The reason body building has been my passion, because I watch Glen, I watched body-builders all over the world, and they inspired me to work harder, and train harder.” His advice to others? “Never give up, never quit, try harder, push harder, and just give it your all!”
