If you donât live near the sea or just canât travel this summer because of COVID-19 restrictions, thereâs one more way to get your beach vacation â bring it to your own backyard.
A Spanish company called Piscinas de Arena NaturSand is offering just that. Well, kinda. Piscinas de Arena NaturSand specializes in âsand poolsâ â custom pools that are as close to real beaches as it gets. And if people already have a pool of their own, the company can simply convert it into something straight out of a Mediterranean paradise.
Piscinas de Arena NaturSand says that it can âprovide an environment similar to that of a piece of natural beachâ and judging by their product photos, thatâs not an exaggeration.

âOur patented sand finish for pools is grainy but solid,â a Piscinas de Arena NaturSand spokesperson told Bored Panda. âIt is not made out of loose sand, itâs completely attached to the concrete surface of the poolsâ structure with binding agents.â
However, it does not make the maintenance of these pools more difficult than that of regular tile pools.
Piscinas de Arena NaturSand makes its sand pools with a special concrete mix thatâs covered with compacted sand

Not only does the surface of these pools never get hot, itâs anti-slip dry and wet

People can also get a customized design to suit their land. In some cases, if the weather permits, such pools can be built in only 30 days

The entrance of the sand pools begins with level zero on a soft ramp, as if it were a real beach. This way, thereâs no need for stairs or ladders

Hereâs what people said about them
Ha ha, like I'm not even bitter, just this doesn't apply to me in my middle class life.
Load More Replies...I thought it was going to be some great public domain thing for anyone to be able to do, but no, it's just a company that provides services for very rich people. Thumbs down.
I agree. And also: I don't know why they're called Sand Pools if they actually aren't. Compacted sand on top of cement isn't the same as Sand. It just looks like it (but feels hard and rough instead).
