I am Lithuania based stencil artist SPICE (Saimonas Mureika) and creator of handmade clothing line “SPICExCLTH” for intellectual and self-confident personalities, who desire to look different.
These clothes are minimalist style and plain silhouette, but have an extraordinary decorations of paintings made using the technique of stencil art.
Hand stencils, made by blowing pigment over a hand held against a wall, are found from over 35,000 years ago. For ages stencils were used in home decor, silk screening and marking up. In modern times stencils are probably the most popular technique used in graffiti and street art. I took stencils to another level: to paint clothing.
SPICExCLTH already introduced first minamal clothing collection in the end of 2015, which was inspired by cinema, artists and bikers’ culture.
Every garment is sewed in SPICE studio in Kėdainiai and is available in limited editions of two or one.
Now I launched my first crowdfunding campaign to appear more widely and improve your style and identity with one-of-a-kind clothes specially created for your body.
