I did that 5 times... and then went to the ER and had them re-do the test again to be sure. I had been trying for years, including a miscarriage, so when I finally saw that plus sign, I was afraid to believe it!!

Luckily for me, I was never a drinker (of alcohol) to begin with, so that didn't change. But no coffee??? I warned everyone the first week to not even think about calling me before at least 2pm!!

I actually never saw that. I managed to drag my husband to just ONE of those classes. He was very old-fashioned though, and while he was happy to be in the delivery room to see his son born, he was NOT into the idea of coaching me through labor. We decided drugs (ie - the epidural) was the way to go. --------------- As it turned out, I was 12 days past my due date, with no natural labor in sight, when the doctor decided to induce me. 27 hours later, they had to give me a c-section. If it were not for the epidural, I would have never made it through those 27 hours... so I think we made the right choice!!

You are doing amazing work ❤️! Thanks for sharing your wonderful posts. I’d like to share a very positive experience with Dr Igboya. I was diagnosed with PCOS after very irregular periods and anovulatory cycles. I already worked out regularly and was a healthy weight. My husband and I tried for a very long time to conceive and were starting to lose hope. I saw a review of how Dr Igboya helped many families conceive, my husband had to contact him: igboyaspiritualtemple@gmail.com, I started taking his medication. I was so happy 😊 I got it. I experienced mild stomach discomfort and no other side effects. The first month, my cycle length was cut in half and the second month, I got pregnant! I never thought the day would come that I would see a positive pregnancy test. I continued the Medication through my first trimester and we now have a perfect baby boy. Keep your head up and give it a try…we are so thankful that we did

So true!! I never really cared for myself (I was married, after all) - but when younger members of my family get pregnant, I find myself at some point confronting the fact that, in order to have this happy event, at some point they had to be naked, in bed, with a boy!! That's hard to accept for a kid whose diapers you once changed while babysitting!!!

THAT was the best part... anything I wanted to eat was okay. Ice cream by the pint? No problem!! Telling Hubby to bring me home a burger and fries from the diner on his way back from work - absolutely. Ordering (or making) a pizza and eating the whole thing myself? Sure!! And while I couldn't drink coffee, no one said I couldn't drink 4-5 glasses of chocolate milk daily (it WAS milk, after all, lol). Plus steak at least once a week, and all the flounder I could stuff my face with (baby needs the protein, lol). I ate GOOD while pregnant!!

I didn't do the registry thing... but my family knew money was tight. They threw me a shower that supplied all but the crib. I had the bassinette (with handmade coverings sewn by my aunties), a stroller, high chair, car seat, walker, bottles, several bags of diapers, pacifiers, blankets, towels, outfits, etc. My son didn't need anything for the first 3 months, except formula (I couldn't breast feed).

LOL - so true.... I got some as hand-me-downs. Besides that, I just switched to pants with elastic waists a size larger than I usually wore, and 1x size tops. Not as cute, but definitely cost-effective!

Not really true... there is always Mother's Day. Plus, if you're lucky, when you're older, your kids will throw you a birthday party (your 90th, lol).

I'd probably give them a taste of a pterodactyl shriek while standing next to the private room. Warn them away from my territory.

It really does fly by too fast!! Of course, during that 9 months, all you can think about is that you can't wait to meet your little person. Then, when the moment is at hand, you realize just how short 9 months really is, and wish you had relished it more!

LOL - so true!! I had my whole family on standby in case my water broke, since my hubby worked 10-hr shifts and I obviously couldn't drive myself to the hospital while in active labor. In the end, I went for a visit with my ob-gyn, who claimed after the sonogram that I had "no water left", so they would have to induce labor asap. ----------------- I've wondered ever since where that doctor got his degree, because a few hours later, after they gave me the epidural and I could no longer get up to use the bathroom, they had to BREAK my water to get the catheter in - and trust me, there was PLENTY of water in there!!
