I got sent this image a long time ago (I think 2017 or even earlier). It shows a painting that had been vandalised, possibly at a museum, by someone throwing water on it and painting a neon bright d*ng-d*ng. Horrible, I know!!!!

The person I spoke to at the time showed me what had been done to the painting. I believe he was living in Gothenburg, Sweden, but I could be mistaken (Maybe he was on a vaccation?). Unfortunately, I don’t have any more information.

I’m asking about this painting because I would really like to see it in its original in full, undamaged form. When I asked him about it, he only replied, “Well, it doesn’t matter...” and didn’t want to say more. Shortly after that, we lost contact.

Internet provided the answer, this is a group portrait by Pickenoy, "Banquet of civic guardsmen from the company of captain Jacob Backer and lieutenant Jacob Rogh" made 1632.
