A sparrow picked up a great chunk of fur that had come off our part Maine coon cat. Will his partner think that's nice and soft to line our nest, or will she think it smells of cat and reject it?

Was it just a chunk of fur that shed, like from a brushing? If so, I think the birds will love it for their nest.

Yes, it was a large white chunk. I haven't seen a henpecked sparrow about, so he must have done a good job.
