And you wouldn't be the first one. But if you're seeing something ridiculous on the road yourself, make sure you photograph it only after you park your car. According to the National Safety Council (NSC), about 21%of all traffic accidents in the US are associated with drivers using their cell phones, which makes it one of the worst dangerous driving habits.

To minimize distraction from a cell phone, try using an app such as LifeSaver or TrueMotion. These and other similar apps are created to help drivers put down their phones and prevent accidents related to distracted driving. LifeSaver, for example, blocks the phone use while driving and lets loved ones know the driver has arrived safely. TrueMotion, on the other hand, keeps track of your trips and rewards you for distraction-free driving.
Additionally, The National Safety Council estimates that texting behind the wheel makes drivers eight times more likely to be involved in a crash. Despite the fact that 41 states have enacted laws banning drivers from doing so, 5% of all crashes still involve this dangerous habit.

So This Is How You Know It's A Monday At Work
So we're working on a 5 lane road where the right two lanes are blocked off (traffic is pushed over into the left turn lane) and this lady runs over 3 barrels, gets into the very right lane and runs it all the way down until her car completely sinks into the wet concrete. (All while every single one of our guys is screaming STOP!!)
Cops show up within minutes and are super [angry]. (Not the first time this has happened on this job) As my boss is getting ready to hook up a chain to pull her out, the cop goes, [darn] her, she's going to wait for a wrecker. My boss explains that if she doesn't get the concrete off within 20min her car is going to be totaled. Cop goes, well she should've thought about that before she ran down the barrels, I'm impounding her car.
SO... Her car was totaled, she got a huge ticket (destruction of public property), and now her insurance company has to pay for the entire lane to be replaced.
