“A woodburning? Are you kidding?” That’s the usual response when people first see my artwork. When most people think of woodburning, also known as pyrography, they imagine dark outlines burned onto a bird feeder or sign.
My art challenges viewers to rethink the possibilities of woodburning. No fancy tools are required; in fact I use a simple $30 woodburner available at most craft stores. You only need a burner, a piece of wood and the will to learn something new.
