Polish artist Dishar creates sculpts that look like scenes taken straight from your wildest dreams.

Based in Warsaw, Poland, Dishar is a self-taught artist who builds his sculpts from scratch using polymeric clay and adding up other materials like metal gear or glass. His style, bordering on the surreal, mixes different real and nightmarish themes, biomechanical, fantasy and dark elements, in astonishingly detailed sculpts.

In his own words “As a kid who grew up in the era of VHS I was blown away by special effects in movies.
I was curious about all the props, masks sculptures that I saw on the screen. And after I saw movies like The Fly, The Thing, They Live, Gremlins, Hellraiser, Nightmare on Elm street I was fascinated by dark side of imagination. But only after Species and Alien my goal was clear. Biomechanical. That is the first time I saw H.R. Gigers art, and I fell for it deep.”

After H.R. Giger’s passing last year it’s time to let new shocking surreal artists to take the torch.
