We must also respect the fact that for the mice, their entire or most of their lives are suffering and pain. Yes, being able to cure cancer and regrow limbs would be amazing. Most animal testing readily could be replaced by other means; any animal testing for purposes of cosmetics and food safety is not justifyable in any way.

I am a girl and I have gone through self image and worth problems myself. What I was trying to convey is that girls, especially young, are being raised by the ways of society and the worlds beauty standards. Why on earth is this downvoted??? It's very well known that almost all actresses and now many actors get work done. It's just the way its works.

@Bob: There's so much competition from younger actors. Performers should be appreciated for their talent, not what they look like.

@Betty. I've lived in South Korea and trust me, the number of girls having their faces worked on is crazy... Actuaually, not only their faces, but their whole body (like breaking the bones their legs to make them longer). The standards of beauty are very extreme there (see Kpop bands) and women are treated like objects, so many of them have to do it to "succeed". Hell, even their parents give them coupons for surgery as gifts. It's a very scary and dramatic situation.

I'm not sure why this was down-voted. Countries in Asia have people trying to add eyelids to look more caucasian. I can't remember which country or countries, and I'm too lazy to research now, so I generalized.
