The Truth Behind Online Photos Revealed In An Eye-Opening Video

We all have that Facebook friend who fills our feed with those cool photos depicting the idyllic life we don’t have. There’s no need to get upset though because most of the time these people don’t live up to their social media photos either, and you can see all the photography tricks they use in a funny video by Hồ Anh Đức from Vietnam.

He remakes some of the most iconic photo ideas we see online and hilariously shows what it took to make them: “I want to show that what’s behind the scenes in the pictures on social networks is not exactly what you think,” says Hồ Anh Đức. People “feeling blessed” might not feel as blissful after all.

You might want to check these posts here and here which show just how heavy some Instagram socialites rely on photo editing.

It is kind of depressing underneath (I will try the beach one, though. too funny!) But in a way it is also pretty convenient. If our parents and grandparents wanted to impress, they had to at least have the physical facade of a fabulous life, had to lease that swanky car, rent that posh home, buy those clothes etc etc. We just need the right framing and angle. Keeping up with the Joneses has never been so easy! :-D
