Each day more than 80,000 acres of rain-forest are destroyed by deforestation. My piece aims to highlight that we exterminate more than just the trees themselves, but in turn the animals that depend on them for survival.

Forests provide the food and shelter these animals need to exist and by destroying them, we end up wiping out more than just the trees.

    Not sure about you, but I've never actually cut down a tree. Perhaps you'd like to go and tell all the people living in abject poverty in third world countries that they really ought to take up responsible forestry practices?
