Tattoo Artist Is Known For Not Being Able To Draw And That Is Why People Like Her Designs So Much (32 New Pics)
Tatuagens peba, or, if translated, trash tattoos: this is what this Brazilian tattoo artist likes to call her unusual and contemporary designs. For several years, Helen Fernandes has been proving to us that the lack of drawing skills doesn't actually mean anything when it comes to being creative.
The woman currently has over 153K followers and probably many more clients that wish to be inked just by her. It's not surprising, as her art is very unique and captivating. Her chosen style is quite similar to the "Bad Painting" trend that was popular back in the day, which quite frankly also seems to be coming back.
These days the creative world likes to challenge everyone and is all about breaking boundaries, which is why more and more people are starting to see the true beauty in what some might call a poor artistic judgement.
Bored Panda has been following Helena's creative journey for a while, which is why you can click here and here to check her previous work.

Oh thanks ❤️ I´m so happy, I receive a lot of criticism :( If you want you can follow me on insta/twitter, it´s malfeitona (personal) and malfeitonatattoo foccusing on the visual work :)
Load More Replies...I don't think that she's bad at drawing-- I just think that this is her own unique style. If she was a bad tattoo artist her lines would be shakey.
Is there supposed to be a difference? Looks same to me. All tattoos are trash
release the Kraken! and dont forget to eat it afterward too!
im wondering if she can make a centuar for me lol
Load More Replies...From this tattoo, I’m beginning to suspect she can draw a lot better than she ‘tries’ to. It’s a gimmick to stand out perhaps?
It's not a gimmick at all. It is a personal style with child-like elements and tribal elements. It is sincere, and I love it.
Load More Replies...This one is hilarious. Botticelli's Venus, but, like, when you woke her up too early, or something.
Obviously a a massive rodent decided to go swimming with its floating and a bunch of crocodiles surrounded it oh and one fish
Load More Replies...Hah hah, it looks like an adorable creature called a capybara, a giant rodent that is native to South America.
Load More Replies...This reminds me of a game I have. I forget the name, but you draw a card and it has a crazy description like "an angry tomato chasing a banana around a bowl of singing cherries" and everyone has to draw it and vote on the winner
I get the gators, but what is inside the floatie? Capybara? Is that a frog to the left of it?
Me too! I've been staring at it for a while, unable to put my finger on why exactly I love this so much.
Load More Replies...The ridgeback hairline, the blackened eyes, the teeth circling the mouth and then there are the legs. She made a simple design but didn’t skimp on elements.
This is the artist's take on a very old and traditional tattoo. I love it! 2-62015c7e...82-png.jpg
"Love the heels" "I thought it was blood" *what are they talking about those are bloody cuts* *wait...look st the eye makeup....yep those gotta be sexy heels*
This one I actually like. And get the appeal of her style but I think most of these would only be entertaining to have for about a day... But I'm one of those people that wants my tats to have deeper meaning too. And most of these would be pretty easy to cover up I suppose.
That’s a fair comment. The more you see of a humorous tattoo its delightful surprise starts to fade. I do like this woman’s tattoos though and would like to see a book of her work.
Load More Replies...What's all this bulls**t about her not being able to draw? This is so cute!
Same thought, drawings are pretty damn awesome!
Load More Replies...Could someone please explain what this says? I'm sure it would add some context.
Translation: you/cringe/ this product causes cringe
Load More Replies...And I think we (people from Brazil) should add that for some reason, gen z started calling millennials "cringe". Meaning that we are outdated, out of style and not cool.
Load More Replies...Portuguese. It says selvajona, a funny way of the aumentative of selvagem, that means savage
Load More Replies...People have bought less artistic paintings than this for thousands of dollars. She has style!
the scream painting met the sphinx and had a baby and this was the result.
Omg the teeth. I hadn't noticed till you so kindly pointed it out and then I pissed myself
Load More Replies...This tatto realy i like it! Good translate! Flying through the cosmos not with empty hands! :-))) with his hands on his c**k! :-)))
The rats themselvesl ook really cute, not as keen on the rose but the rats I'd actually love on my body xD
I love the rats, but I don't know what they're standing on... it looks like a rose on a spade to me.
Does anyone know who he is? When I tried reverse image search, I got "bad Freddie Mercury" and I found an Indian soccer player named Socorro, but he doesn't look like this.
https://youtu.be/iKnG_lrtH20 i hope some of them are answered now
Load More Replies...I thought the top tattoo was excellent... until I realized it isn't a tattoo
I would, I don't think she can't draw. I think it's an art style because I would definitely get a tattoo from her. Not everyone likes every art style, since people might hate realism like Moana Lisa. But I think every art style is unique and amazing.
Load More Replies...Thought it kinda looked like a very vague outline of the female reproductive system, in which case I agree with the statement. I too have several complaints. XD
Load More Replies...I love him! He looks shocked though. I wonder if she's working from photographs.
You think they are bad???? I wish I could reply with a photo!!! I can match her or even better or worse ? Whichever one you think it is!!!!
This woman clearly has artistic talent. She may not be able to do a photorealistic portrait, but she has the creativity and flair to be called an artist.
And look how clean her tattoo lines are! I agree, this woman is an artist.
Load More Replies...She’s not terrible at drawing at all, her style is naive, succinct and very expressive. Perfect for tattoos.
I am not at all a tattoo fan, but I really liked some of these. I love that most things in her world roar ..rrrrr and that everything, even inanimate objects have teeth. Funny thing is, it's not easy to pull off good rubbish. I once tried my hand at doing rubbish pet drawings to raise money for the shelter, and none of my drawings was as good as these tats.
There have been articles on here about the guy who does 'rubbish' pet drawings, and he is also clearly a very talented artist.
Load More Replies...She is a primitive artist with a distinct style expressing significant whimsy. You may not want these tattoos, but obviously they meant something to the person sporting them. I like all of them.
Tons of character and absolutely her own style. I'd love to see these come together as a book, or on coffee cups and tea towels etc
There wasn't a single tattoo on here I would pay to have put on my body. Most look like... well... REALLY bad tattoos. This is my own opinion, yours may differ.
