These are some of the shots I took from my visit to see the war memorial installation at the Tower of London. They cover the moat all around the Tower of London. Each poppy is meant to commemorate the fallen British and colonial soldiers.

Started in July this year, they have planted nearly a million poppies which have taken 8,000 volunteers to put down the poppies. While I was visiting they were still planting more, as you can see from one of the pictures below. They will continue to do this until November 11 for Remembrance Day/Armistice Day. Each of the poppies have now been sold to the general public with money being donated to various charities. If you are unable to get to see the poppies I hope the pictures will make you at least feel as if you are also walking around the Tower.

As beautiful as they are, I wish we applied the same effort and creativity in finding peaceful resolutions before picking up our weapons and going to war.
