Too Nice

I worked for one retail store off and on for years and never had a complaint it was so much fun. A Karen (Not called Karen’s then) came to my register and with a song in my voice, I asked “How are you, did you find everything OK?” She stood in silence, arms across her chest with the worst scowl on her face. After I finished I said, “Thank you have a good day”. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Karen walk to customer service but went on to the next customer. When I finished I got the chance to turn around just in time to see Karen pointing at me while talking to my manager throwing her hands up in disgust. Later the manager came to me saying “By what I could make out she was complaining about you being too nice”.
